Hultquist has put himself atop the Florida State record books and the Seminoles consistently in the national spotlight. The winningest coach in program history, Hultquist has led the ‘Noles to 21 NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 22 seasons. Under Hultquist’s leadership, Florida State men’s tennis has emerged as one of the top programs in the Atlantic Coast Conference and the country. In 26 seasons under Hultquist, FSU has had four ACC Player of the Year recipients, has coached seven different athletes to nine All-American honors, two ITA Most Improved Player and five ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award winners, and a 2024 ACC Championship. In 2024, FSU captured the program's first-ever ACC Championship, defeating back-to-back national champions and No. 2-ranked Virginia 4-3, becoming the first sixth seed to win the tournament.
