Biography

Jake Rothschiller was hired as Florida State’s assistant linebackers coach in January 2026 after a stint as the defensive coordinator at Minot State in North Dakota. Prior to his time with the Beavers, Rothschiller was the linebackers coach at New Mexico, earning recognition on the AFCA 35 Under 35 list. He coached All-Mountain West linebacker Cody Moon, recording 100 tackles in just nine games during the 2022 season. Rothschiller was a graduate assistant for four seasons at UNM before taking on the linebackers role. A standout player for the Lobos, Rothschiller was a safety in New Mexico’s secondary and was Defensive and Team MVP in 2017.
