Biography
Sarah Goodman enters her eighth season with the Big Green as a volunteer assistant coach ahead of the 2026 season. She serves as the program's catching coach and the pitch caller. Goodman previously spent five seasons at MIT. During her time in Cambridge, the Engineers enjoyed a multitude of broken team records, the first conference championship in program history, four NCAA tournament appearances, two Super Regional Championships, and two trips to the DIII College World Series, finishing fifth and seventh in the country. Goodman was part of staffs to receive the NFCA New England Coaching Staff of the Year Award in both 2016 and 2018. Goodman primarily worked with the catchers and outfield as well as offensive development and pitch calling during her run with the Engineers. Prior to her tenure at MIT, Goodman spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant Coach with her alma mater, Smith College, and helped them to an ECAC Championship title in 2014. She also spent five seasons as a head coach for club ball in Rochester, New York. As a player at Smith College, Goodman was a four-year starter for the Pioneers. She served as captain for two seasons and was voted MVP at the conclusion of the 2012 campaign. As a senior, Goodman led the team in several categories, including hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage, stolen bases, and batting average while committing zero errors in the field. Goodman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and a Master of Science in Exercise
