Capital University Men's Soccer

Corey Kirk is entering his second year as head coach of the Capital University men's soccer team. Prior to Capital, he served as head coach at Muskingum University for the 2023 season. Before that, Kirk was an Assistant Coach at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he aided the program to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022, and was part of the NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2022. He began his coaching career at Watkins Memorial High School, where he was named Licking County League Coach of the Year in 2016, then became Associate Head Coach at New Albany High School, earning Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association's State Assistant Coach of the Year. Kirk also works for Kings Hammer New Albany soccer club and previously served as an ECNL head coach. As a player, he was a four-year starter and team captain for the nationally ranked men's soccer team at Ohio Dominican University, earning two-time NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete honors. He graduated from ODU in 2010 with a degree in Communication Studies as a Magna Cum Laude graduate and earned a Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Sciences from Ohio University in 2023.
