Ben Morse
Ben Morse was named BGSU's director of strength and conditioning in April of 2022 after spending three years at Iowa. Morse oversees BGSU's strength and conditioning program. Between 2020-22 Morse worked with the Hawkeye football program where he was responsible for implementation of speed, agility, conditioning, power, strength and flexibility with the student-athletes. He previously was an intern with the Iowa football program in 2017. The Hawkeyes won 10 games in 2021, winning the Big Ten's West Division title and advancing to the conference championship game. Iowa concluded the season with an appearance in the Vrbo Citrus Bowl and was ranked 23rd in the nation in the final national rankings. Morse joined the Iowa program after serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Boston University for two years, where he worked with the men's basketball, men's soccer and swimming & diving programs. During his time at Boston University, the Terrier men's basketball team earned the 2020 Patriot League championship. Morse previously was part of the Terriers strength and conditioning staff as an intern and graduate assistant in 2016-17. Prior to his time in Division I athletics, Morse was a strength and conditioning coach and coordinator at Body Resolution in Williston, Vermont (2012-15). Director of Hockey Operations
Dustin Carlson joined the BGSU Ice Hockey staff in August 2025 and serves as the Director of Hockey Operations. Carlson joins BGSU from the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League (USHL), where he served as the goaltending coach during the 2023-24 season. Carlson comes to BGSU with a long resume of experience, both as a player and a coach. In college, he played as a goaltender for Ohio State from 2007-2011. His best season came in 2008-09, where he played in 39 games, posting a record of 21-12-3. In that same season, he also posted a 2.5 goals allowed average and a .917 save percentage. Following his collegiate career, Carlson played for a number of teams between the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) and Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), including the Ontario Reign (ECHL), Toledo Walleye (ECHL) and Fayatteville FireAntz (SPHL). After playing professionally from 2010-2016, Carlson returned to Ohio State, his alma mater, where he served as an assistant coach from 2017-2023. During his coaching tenure at Ohio State, the Buckeyes made three NCAA tournament appearances, and made the NCAA Frozen Four in 2018. Carlson is a native of Forest Lake, Minn. and joins a BGSU staff that has gone through a number of changes in the summer of 2025 including the promotion of Curtis Carr to associate head coach, and the hirings of Matt Nicholson and Jacob Pritchard as assistant coaches.

Vincent Briedis (pronounced BRAY-dis) has reshaped the national profile of Bowling Green State University Athletics through innovative communications, strategic media engagement, and record-breaking digital storytelling. Joining BGSU in July 2021 as Assistant Athletics Director for Strategic Communications, Briedis serves as a member of the Leadership Team, acting as the primary spokesperson for the department and lead media contact for football and ice hockey. Under his leadership, BGSU Athletics has achieved unprecedented visibility, leveraging innovative campaigns and viral storytelling to engage fans, media and recruits. During the launch of the Eddie George era at Bowling Green, Briedis developed and executed integrated communications campaigns that elevated the program's national visibility. Through innovative storytelling and the viral success of "Pudge the Cat," BGSU Football generated 1.5+ billion earned media impressions in less than a month and shattered social media engagement records in 2025. Briedis came to BGSU after 12 years at Virginia where he assisted the department promote 14 NCAA team titles and various other individual NCAA championships. He is a 2001 graduate of Grand Canyon, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications and was a four-year letterwinner on the Antelopes Baseball team.
