Britni Sneed Newman is in her 23rd season as Baylor's pitching coach. She joined the Baylor staff in 2004 after spending one season as a student assistant at LSU. Newman has developed some of the most prolific pitchers in Baylor history, several of which have been among the nation's best. Newman was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in the class of 2022, for her three-time All-American honors and illustrious career pitching at LSU. In her 22nd season at Baylor, Newman oversaw a steady and productive pitching staff during the 2025 campaign, led by All-Big 12 second team selection Lillie Walker. Walker anchored the Bears' rotation with a 2.51 ERA, ranking among the top 10 in the conference, while logging 159 innings pitched and 88 strikeouts, earning all-region recognition for her performance. Newman also guided key contributions from Sadie Ross, who posted a 3.63 ERA across 30 appearances, and Lexie Warncke, who compiled a 7–7 record in 40.2 innings of work.
