Taylor Culp

Biography

Head coach Tony da Luz announced the hiring of assistant coach Taylor Culp on April 12, 2024. In 2025, Culp assisted in Wake Forest's 24th overall NCAA Tournament berth. Three members of the Wake Forest squad were tabbed with All-ACC Honors: forward Kylie Maxwell (Freshman of the Year, Freshman Team, 3rd Team), goalkeeper Valentina Amaral (3rd Team) and forward Allie Flanagan (Freshman Team). Maxwell was also named No. 1 on TopDrawerSoccer’s Midseason Rankings, while Flanagan was named No. 19. Amaral earned a spot on the National Rankings at No. 95, with defender Sierra Sythe at No. 40. In his first year with the program, Culp helped guide the Deacs' to their first College Cup appearance since 2011, and 23rd overall appearance in the tournament. With his assistance, five Demon Deacons earned All-ACC honors: Caiya Hanks (First Team), Emily Colton, Emily Murphy, Zara Chavoshi (Second Team), and Valentina Amaral (Third Team). Additionally, Hanks was named a 2024 Mac Hermann Semifinalist following her record-breaking regular and postseason performance. "I am so excited to add Taylor to our staff," said da Luz.
