Andrea Duffy-Cofrin

Biography

Andrea Duffy-Cofrin was named the head coach of the Pioneer women's lacrosse program in July of 2025, ahead of the 2025-2026 academic year. Duffy-Cofrin made the move from nearby Morrisville, where she took the helm for three seasons, bringing great success to the program and guiding them through their transition from the United East to the NAC in 2024, then from the NAC to the SUNYAC in 2025. She began her time at Utica as the first new head coach of the women's lacrosse program since 2007, taking over the operation after the conclusion of Coach St. Hilaire's 18-year run with the team. Duffy-Cofrin arrived with a plethora of coaching experience, having led teams at the Division I, II, and III levels of collegiate lacrosse. In her three seasons with the Mustangs, Duffy-Cofrin's squad played in three different conferences, with the team reaching the finals of the United East Tournament and the NAC Tournament in her first and second years, respectively. Duffy-Cofrin's Mustangs achieved an 8-9 record both of those years and sported the NAC Rookie of the Year in 2024 (Anyssia Ingersoll). Prior to her time with the Mustangs she served as the head women's lacrosse coach and an associate professor of physical education at Columbia University for five seasons. During her time with Columbia, she registered the most wins in program history in the Ivy League and appeared in the Ivy League Tournament.
