Capobianco has years of international experience both as a competitor and coach. Capobianco is a four-time senior National Champion; three individual 3-meter titles, and one synchronized 3-meter title. The two-time Olympian competed in the Paris 2024 Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where he earned a Silver medal in the 3m springboard synchro. In 2019 at the World Championships, the North Carolina native earned Bronze in the mixed team event. As a coach, since 2024 Capobianco has been with USA Diving as a High Performance coach where he has coached multiple members of USA Diving's High Performance Squad that are based in Bloomington, Ind. He has also been the head diving coach at the Johansen Diving Academy since 2022. No stranger to the Big Ten, Capobianco graduated and competed at Indiana University and was part of the men's diving team from 2017-2023. During his time at Indiana, he helped lead his team to three Big Ten Championships and two Top 4 finishes at the NCAA Championships. His collegiate accolades include; three-time NCAA Champion, five-time Big Ten Champion, three-time Big Ten Diver of the Year, Indiana Athlete of the Year (2020-2021), and a 12-time All-American.
