Kevin Schultz

Biography

Kevin Schultz serves as the Director of Olympic Strength and Conditioning at the University of Wisconsin, a position that he was elevated to in 2021. In this capacity, he oversees the strength and conditioning services for 22 sport programs and three strength and conditioning facilities on campus. Schultz leads a team of ten strength and conditioning coaches. He additionally serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the volleyball program. Prior to assuming leadership of the department, Schultz served as the Associate Director of Olympic Strength and Conditioning at Wisconsin from 2015 to 2021. Schultz is actively involved in the strength and conditioning community serving a three-year term on the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundations Board of Director as the acting secretary. Prior to coming to Wisconsin, Schultz served as the director of sports performance at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse from 2011-15. He also served as an assistant football coach for the Eagles during the 2011-14 seasons. On the gridiron, Schultz was the special team’s coordinator and running backs coach. Prior to joining the staff at UW-L, Schultz served as the director of strength and conditioning at Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.) from 2008-11. Schultz was in charge of all 17-varsity sports strength and conditioning sessions for the Tartans.
