Patrick Grey enters his first season as associate head coach with the Spartans for the 2026 season. Grey joins the Spartans after previously coaching alongside Odell for three seasons at NCAA Division II Shepherd University. Together, they helped the Rams to multiple historic seasons. Throughout his time at Shepherd, Grey assisted with practice design and tactical implementation as well as player recruitment and management. In 2025, the Rams ranked first in the Atlantic Region and repeated as Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Champions. Grey helped the team to an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance, with seven athletes earning All-Conference Team awards. As a team, the Rams concluded the season with the second-best winning percentage in program history. The 2024 season saw unprecedented success for the program as Grey helped the Rams to the program's first-ever PSAC Eastern Division and PSAC Championship titles. In the NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament, the Rams reached the tournament quarterfinals, winning the Atlantic Region Championship. This season marked the highest winning percentage in program history, with both Odell and Grey named the United Soccer Coaches DII Atlantic Region Staff of the Year. Three Rams were named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans alongside seven PSAC All-Conference Team honorees.
