Head Coach
Michael Hofmeister was hired as the University of Scranton's head men's lacrosse coach in September 2017. In his eight seasons at Scranton, he has led the Royals to 78 wins, three Landmark Conference titles, and three NCAA Tournament appearances, including back-to-back tournament victories in 2024 and 2025. Prior to Scranton, Hofmeister spent six seasons as an assistant coach at two regional powerhouses: one season at Roanoke (2016-2017) where he helped the Maroons go 12-4, and five seasons at York College (2011-2016) where he assisted in building the program from 9-7 to 18-4 with a Capital Athletic Conference championship and NCAA Tournament success. A 2010 graduate of Eastern University where he was a team captain and all-conference selection, Hofmeister brings extensive coaching experience in offense, recruiting, scouting, and player development. He has guided six student-athletes to USILA All-American honors and coached 34 All-Landmark Conference selections.
