Biography

Oregon head women's tennis coach Courtney Nagle announced the addition of Pete Yellico as the Ducks' assistant coach on Dec. 18, 2023. Yellico will enter his third season in Eugene in 2025-26. Yellico comes to Eugene after spending the past two seasons as the head men's and women's tennis coach at the University of Redlands (Division III). He led the women's side to a Sweet 16 berth in 2022 – the program's first since 2009 – and a No. 15 national ranking. The Bulldog women finished 23rd nationally in 2023 while the men earned rankings of No. 26 in 2022 and No. 30 in 2023. While at Redlands, Yellico put together two top-15 recruiting classes in 2023: No. 11 in women's and No. 15 in men's. He also oversaw the 11th-ranked doubles team of Bryce Keim and Nils Plutat, who reached the quarterfinal round of the 2023 NCAA Division III men's tennis championship. Yellico has Oregon ties, as he spent 10 seasons (2013-22) at Pacific University in Forest Grove.
