Head Coach
Last updated May 16, 2024 Roth's Records (through 2023-24 season): Career (8 years): 24-19 At UNT (8 years): 24-19 Brittany Roth was named the full-time head swimming and diving coach on April 11, 2017 by then-Vice President and director of athletics Wren Baker. She served as the interim head coach for the 2016-17 season. Roth now enters her ninth season at the helm of the North Texas Swimming and Diving program. Roth has a dual record of 24-19 since taking over as full-time head coach prior to the 2017-18 season. During Roth’s time in Denton, Mean Green swimmers have rewritten the school record book a total of 18 times, with 13 being during her time as head coach or interim head coach. The 2023-24 season saw UNT earn its first conference championship medals as a member of the American Athletic Conference, as freshman diver Sydney Guidara won silver in the 3-meter springboard and was part of the new Team Diving event that shocked the meet with a silver medal performance along with Saylor Hawkins and Brigid Krbec. In the pool, junior Shaena McCloud earned the program's first swimming medal in the AAC meet with a bronze in 100 freestyle. The program sent three divers to NCAA Zones and five swimmers to the CSCAA National Invitational Championship. In 2022-23, UNT ended up sending a trio of divers to the NCAA Zone Championships and seven swimmers to the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in its first season as a member of The American. The 2021-22 season was UNT's final one

O'Callaghan joins the Mean Green after her second stint at St. Bonaventure, where she had served as the men's and women's diving coach since 2017. She rejoined the Bonnies after serving as the diving coach from 2010 to 2013. O'Callaghan earned back-to-back Atlantic 10 Diving Coach of the Year honors in 2012 and 2013 and coached the Bonnies to an Atlantic 10 championship in 2013. Between stops at St. Bonaventure, O'Callaghan serve as the head men's and women's diving coach at the University of Findlay where she led two divers to the NCAA Division II Championships. O'Callaghan is a University of Michigan alumna and spent all four years as an undergraduate with the Wolverine swim and dive program. She earned Academic All-Big Ten Conference honors all four years at Michigan.
