Mike Bloesch

Biography

Mike Bloesch was hired as the Run Game Coordinator and Tight Ends coach in January of 2026. Bloesch re-joins the Mean Green for his second stint with the program after spending the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Cal. In 2024, Bloesch served as the Golden Bears' offensive coordinator/offensive line coach. Bloesch was Cal's offensive line coach/run game coordinator during the 2023 regular season before being elevated in December of 2023 prior to the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. Under his watch, Bloesch helped the Golden Bears earn a bowl berth in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2018-19. In 2024, Bloesch helped the Cal offense average 358.2 yards per game en route to an appearance in the Art of Sport LA Bowl. The Golden Bears offense was one of the best at taking care of the football with just 11 turnovers lost in 13 games, the 15th-fewest in FBS. The offense had huge big-play potential with 10 plays of 50+ yards on the year, tied for the 17th-most in FBS. In his first season at Cal, Bloesch served as the run game coordinator and offensive line coach and was largely credited with the improvement of an offensive line that helped the running game average of 172.8 yards per game, its highest mark since 2012.
