No other coach in program history has impacted Charlotte women’s tennis like Anthony Davison, who enters his ninth season at his alma mater in 2025-26. Charlotte capped the campaign at 21-7, tying for the second-most single-season wins in school history and the most since 1991. In 2022 he posted his third season with at least 19 wins and guided the 49ers to just the second Conference Championship Match appearance in program history and first as a member of Conference USA. For his efforts, Davison was named the Conference USA Coach of the Year, becoming the first head coach in program history to earn a Coach of the Year honor. The program soared even higher in 2023, winning 22 matches fo
