AT THE HELM Hired on May 5, 1998, Smith sat down with his team and made a list of goals he hoped would help the 1998-99 squad and future Tigers. The team earned one national qualifier that season, Jeff Urban, but it was the ground floor of what was to be built in the years to come—the birth of Tiger Style. During his time with the program, Bradley has been an integral part of the development of the student-athletes and in the corner for Keegan O'Toole's consecutive National Championships in 2022 and 2023. The team has had 12 All-American performances and eight conference champions during his time. Most recently, Bradley was a key fixture, working extensively with heavyweight Zach Elam. Keenan Hagerty Career 2011-16 Maryville Wrestler 2016-20 Maryville Assistant Coach 2020-22 William Jewell Head Coach 2022- Missouri Director of Operations Keenan Hagerty, the former men's and women's wrestling coach at William Jewell College, joined the University of Missouri staff as director of operations in July 2022. Hagerty joined the Tigers program after serving as the men's and women's wrestling head coach at William Jewell. Hagerty joined Jewell in Aug. 2020 and was tasked with starting a women's program while revitalizing the men's program after a 27-year hiatus. During Hagerty's head coaching stint, he showed his mettle as a recruiter, bringing over 30 new student-athletes into the wrestling programs. He led the women's program to its first-ever national ranking of No. 15, while Emalie Olson earned the first individual national ranking at No. 8 in the 116-pound class. Five student-athletes from the women's program advanced to the NCWWC National Championships, and freshman Sarina Bertram was tabbed as the William Jewell Women's Newcomer of the Year. Prior to his stint with the Cardinals, Hagerty spent four years as the top assistant at Maryville University. During that time, he helped Maryville to 19 All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selections, 15 NCAA-II national qualifiers, seven All-Americans and one national champion. Maple was hired as an assistant coach in the summer of 2019 and entered the program as an NCAA Champion, multi-time All-American and a U.S. Freestyle Open Champion. Following his first three seasons with the program, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach in the summer of 2022. In his time with the Black and Gold, Maple helped guide Keegan O'Toole to back-to-back NCAA titles at 165 pounds in 2022 and 2023. Hes has coached five wrestlers to 13 All-America honors over five seasons and assisted eight conference champions to reach the top of the podium in both the MAC and Big 12. In 2022-23, Maple aided the Tigers to its 12th consecutive conference title (fourth since his arrival) and a fifth-place finish at the national tournament. The 2023 tournament finish is the team's best since 2016-17.

Mitch Swee joined the University of Missouri Sports Medicine Staff in the fall of 2015. Swee’s primary responsibility is the athletic training services for the Tiger Wrestling Program. A native of Omaha, Neb., Swee completed his undergraduate degree from University of Nebraska, and went on to obtain a master’s at Oregon State University. After finishing his masters at OSU, Swee was added to the staff full-time and spent five years primarily covering wrestling and assisting with football. Swee is certified in Graston techniques and is a corrective exercise specialist. Swee is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer through NATABOC and licensed through the Missouri Board of Healing Arts to practice in the state. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Mid-America Athletic Trainer’s Association, and the Missouri Athletic Trainers Association. He and his wife Candice enjoy outdoor activities and reside in Columbia.
