Brad Ruhanen

Biography

Brad Ruhanen joined the University of Missouri Athletic Performance staff as Senior Director of Athletic Performance in January 2018. He works directly with softball, gymnastics, men’s & women’s golf, while assisting with all other Olympic sport programs. Previously, Ruhanen served as the Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports at the University of Memphis from 2015-2018. He oversaw the training programs for 16 Olympic sport programs, while working directly with soccer, softball, and golf. Prior to joining the staff at Memphis, he worked at Oral Roberts University from 2011-2015, serving as the Director of Sport Performance from 2013-2015. While at ORU, Ruhanen managed the training programs for all 16 sports and worked directly with men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, and men’s & women’s golf. From 2009-2011, Ruhanen worked as a graduate assistant at North Dakota State University where he worked with football, men’s golf, wrestling, softball, and track & field. He also worked one year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Michigan Technological University. Ruhanen was a four-year letterman in football and graduated from Michigan Tech in 2006. He received his Masters of Science degree from the University of Memphis. He holds his CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
