Jana Drummond will enter her ninth year on the Massachusetts women’s lacrosse staff in 2025-26 and fourth as the head coach. Drummond led Massachusetts through a stellar 2025 campaign, earning ECAC Coach of The Year honors after coaching the Minutewomen to their first A-10 Championship since 2021. Under Drummond, Massachusetts finished the season with a 15-4 record and a 10-0 mark in A-10 play, earning with the program's 55th consecutive regular season victory. Drummond received her third straight A-10 Coach of The Year honor as the Minutewomen claimed their 14th consecutive A-10 Regular Season Championship and 16th straight season with either a regular season or tournament title. The Minutewomen earned their 16th NCAA Tournament appearance overall, fourth in the last five seasons and second under Drummond. In the wake of the 2025 season both Jordan Dean and Kassidy Morris earned USA Lacrosse and ILWomen All-America honors with Morris also claiming A-10 Offensive Player of the Year recognition. Under Drummond's tutelage Massachusetts has received nine major conference awards and 10 All-American honors overall. In 2024 Drummond was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year for the second time in two seasons after leading the Minutewomen to their 13th straight A-10 regular season championship. Katie Moses joined the UMass women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in August 2025. An innovative and experienced coach, Moses brings a decade of expertise at the high school, club and collegiate levels. Moses comes to Amherst after serving as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at East Longmeadow High School since 2019. Over the last three seasons Moses has accumulated a 52-13 overall record including a program record 19-4 mark during the 2024 campaign. Moses coached East Longmeadow’s first USA Lacrosse All-Americans, with at least one student athlete earning the distinction in each of the last three seasons. The Western New England University alumna finished her time with East Longmeadow with back-to-back Class A Western Massachusetts Championships, the first two such honors in program history. Moses also spent time on the sideline at both Western New England and Christopher Newport University where she handled player development, recruiting, scouting and offensive strategy among other responsibilities. During her time at Western New England Moses helped the women’s lacrosse program to a combined 32-7 record across two seasons as an assistant coach and the offensive coordinator.

Lia LaPrise joined the UMass women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach in July of 2023. LaPrise was a standout attacker at UConn, where she finished her career as the program's all-time leader in points and assists. “We are very excited to welcome Lia to our program,” said head coach Jana Drummond. “Lia brings with her a competitive knowledge of the game, an incredible work ethic, a strong passion for lacrosse, and mature leadership qualities that our student athletes can look up to and learn from. Lia was a fierce competitor as a player and currently holds the UConn program records for career points and assists. Her addition to our staff, program, and athletic department will be a tremendous benefit for us all.” The Windsor, Conn. native was a two-time Big East First-Team All-Conference selection for the Huskies and led the conference in points in 2021. LaPrise was a team captain for her squad and earned a spot on the IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team as a senior in 2022. LaPrise has also worked with club team Nor’easter since 2018, coaching a range of age groups from middle school to high school. "I am beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the UMass women’s lacrosse program,” said LaPrise. “There is so much energy, competitiveness, and dedication that is innate in this group and I cannot wait to be a part of the journey. I am looking forward to getting on campus and meeting the team.”
