Adria Crawford

Biography

Adria Crawford joined the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in June 2024 as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program before being elevated to associate head coach before the 2025-26 season. During her first year with the Hawks, Crawford helped the team to a 14-win season in which UMES advanced to the semifinals of the MEAC Tournament on a six-game win streak. Crawford arrived at UMES following two successful seasons with the George Washington Revolutionaries, where her team reached the 2023-2024 A-10 Quarterfinals. During her tenure at GW, Crawford played a pivotal role with the team setting a school record for the most made three-pointers in a season in 2022-23, and her efforts resulted in three players earning All-Conference honors. Before joining GW, Crawford served as an assistant at East Tennessee State University during the 2021-22 season. Prior to her time at ETSU, Crawford was at Marshall University, where she served as the recruiting coordinator and helped guide the team to an appearance in the WBI in 2019. She also previously worked as an assistant at the College of Charleston, focusing on the development of post and wing players while managing academic and compliance operations. A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Crawford graduated from Georgetown University, where she excelled as a player on the women's basketball team, concluding her career ranking second all-time at Georgetown in games played (131) and in the top 15 for career rebounds (646), bloc
