Director of Operations
Jing Hughley has been the director of operations for Louisville women’s soccer since 2009. Prior to her director of operations stint, she served in a program support role for all Louisville varsity sports since 2005. Hughley was a four-year letter winner for the Louisville volleyball team. As the Cardinals’ starting setter, she was the 2000 Conference USA Tournament MVP and was all-conference first team in 2001. The Cardinals made the NCAA Tournament all four years she was there. She led the Cardinals to the 1998 NCAA Sweet Sixteen after winning the Conference USA Tournament. In 1999, she led the Cardinals to the regular season conference crown and an NCAA appearance. In 2000, the Cardinals were C-USA Tournament Champions again and competed in the NCAA Tournament. In 2001, UofL was the C-USA runner-up and advanced to the second round of the NCAA. Hughley finished her career as the fourth all-time assist leader with 4,290 and set a single season assist record in 2000 and 2001. After graduating from UofL with a degree in business, Hughley headed to Twin Falls, Idaho, where she coached at the College of Southern Idaho, a volleyball power at the junior college level. In 2001, she helped the squad to a 45-3 record, going 16-0 in conference game and were undefeated at home (17-0) and finished fifth in the nation. Assistant Coach
Louisville women’s soccer head coach Hunter Norton is pleased to announce the addition of Mitch Hepburn as an assistant coach to the staff in March of 2026. Hepburn comes to the Cardinals after spending the previous four seasons as an assistant coach at Dayton. During Hepburn’s time with the Flyers, he worked within all areas of the program including on-field coaching, video analysis, GPS sports performance monitoring, gear and equipment oversight, and served as the Recruiting Coordinator. In each of his four seasons with the Flyers, they won 10 or more games in each season. In 2025, the Flyers won the Atlantic-10 tournament and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016. The Flyers had a 15-game unbeaten streak heading into the NCAA Tournament. In his first year with the Flyers, they won 16 games and reached the Atlantic-10 championship game. It was their most wins in a single season in over a decade. Prior to arriving at Dayton, Hepburn served on the staff at Eastern Kentucky University under head coach Matt Cosinuke for two seasons. In his second season with the Colonels, Hepburn helped improve the team to a nine-win season while advancing to the ASUN Conference Semi-Final in the program's first season in the conference. In his two seasons at EKU Hepburn coached four All-Conference players and three ASUN All-Rookie team members. Assistant Coach
The 2023 season was a historic one for the record books for the Elon goalkeeping unit under Mills. Goalkeeper McKenna Dalfonso, under the guidance of Mills, etched her name into the Elon record books, finishing with the all-time record for shutouts in a career. The 21 solo shutouts and 22.5 including combined shutouts were both Elon records that stood for more than 30 years. Dalfonso also finished the top-10 for games started, goals-allowed-average, saves, games played and goalkeeper minutes. During the 2022 season, under Mills guidance, McKenna Dalfonso recorded seven shutouts and did not allow a CAA goal at Rudd Field. The Phoenix finished with a 9-6-3 record and a top-four seed at the CAA Tournament. In the fall of 2021, Mills helped guide the maroon and gold to a 9-6-2 record, including a pair of overtime victories against Northeastern (2-1) and a #23/25 Hofstra (2-1). For their performance during the regular season, Kayla Hodges, Carson Jones and Makenzie DePriest-Kessler were tabbed all-conference honorees. Hodges was a first-team selection, Jones was second team and DePriest-Kessler was third team. During the historic spring 2021 season, Mills assisted in leading the Phoenix to its first-ever Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship title and second appearance in the NCAA Division I Championship.
