Tom Cousins Women's Swimming & Diving Head Coach
Stefanie Williams Moreno, a 28-time All-American and six-time national champion for Georgia as an athlete and coach, recently completed her fourth season as the head coach of the women’s swimming and diving team. Williams Moreno previously served for four seasons as Associate Head Coach after serving six years as a Bulldog assistant, working primarily with the backstroke and middle distance groups. In her first year at the helm, Williams Moreno led Georgia to a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Championships and a sixth-place finish at the SEC Championships. At NCAAs, the Bulldogs earned 21 All-America citations, including seven First Team citations. Sophomore Rachel Stege reached the championship final in the 500 and 1,650 freestyle, while teammate Dune Coetzee joined her in the 500. Earlier at SECs, Stege won the conference title in the 500, while senior Zoie Hartman prevailed in the 200 IM. Overall, the team earned 10 SEC medals and set 30 personal-best times in College Station. In her second season, Williams Moreno guided the Bulldogs up three spots to a 13th-place at the NCAA Championships in Athens, following a fifth-place finish at SEC Championships. Diving Graduate Assistant
Former Auburn diver Ashlynn Sullivan is in her second season as a graduate assistant, working with diving head coach Chris Colwill. In the 2024-25 season, Sullivan joined Colwill in guiding the Georgia diving team, qualifying two men’s divers for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2006. Sophomore Matthew Bray finished 26th on 3-meter at NCAAs, following a third-place finish on the springboard at NCAA Zones. Junior Renato Calderaro placed 32nd on 1-meter at NCAAs and sixth on 3-meter at Zones, while also receiving SEC Men’s Newcomer Diver of the Year honors. The pair also reached the 3-meter championship final at SECs, becoming the first duo to do since 2006. Senior Rhett Hopkins reached the 1-meter finals at Zones, while also scoring on both springboards at SECs and setting a new personal-best score on platform. Freshman Bo Bridges also qualified for Zones on both springboards, while senior Allen Mann placed third on platform at the midseason UGA Diving Invitational. For the women’s diving team, junior Hannah Stumpf scored on 1-meter and platform at SECs, with sophomore Michelle Cummo and freshman Nyla Thompson both qualifying for Zones. Diving Head Coach
Chris Colwill, one of the most accomplished divers in NCAA and United States history, enters his eighth season as diving head coach, having returned to his alma mater to head the program in 2018. Men's Swimming & Diving Head Coach
Neil Versfeld, a standout swimmer on both the collegiate and international stages, enters his fourth season as the head coach of the Georgia men’s swimming and diving team. Versfeld previously served for three seasons as Associate Head Coach for Georgia swimming and diving, working primarily with breaststroke and distance swimmers. Head Coach (2022-pres.) In his debut season as head coach, Versfeld led Georgia to a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Championships and a fifth-place finish at SEC Championships. The Bulldogs earned 18 All-America citations, including a pair of First Team citations for senior Ian Grum and junior Jake Magahey. In Minneapolis, Grum set his second 200 backstroke school record of the season, while the 200 medley relay also set a new top mark. At SECs, senior Bradley Dunham earned his first conference title in the 200 backstroke, while Magahey picked up silvers in the 500 and 1,650 freestyle. In his second season, Versfeld saw Georgia improve to third in the SEC and 11th in the NCAA. Magahey earned three First Team citations, finishing third in the 500y freestyle and fifth in the 400y IM and joining teammates Tomas Koski, Zach Hils, and Dunham for a fifth-place finish in the 800y free relay.
