Gavin Smiley is an Assistant Coach for University of Dayton Women's Rowing, beginning in November 2025. He brings over a decade of competitive rowing experience, having rowed as a Division I athlete at Stetson University and competed with Halifax Rowing Association, Treasure Coast Rowing Team, Intrepid Rowing, and Hilton Head Island Rowing Club. Most recently, he served as Head Coach of the Dayton Boat Club Masters program, where he implemented iCrew operations and hosted home scrimmages while supporting the local rowing community. Smiley holds USRowing Level 2, Para-Rowing, and Equipment Management certifications, and earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stetson University with minors in Economics and Sports Business. He brings extensive experience in coaching at regional regattas with consistent athlete success.
