Tad Boyle is in his 16th year as the head coach of the University of Colorado men’s basketball program with a record of 312-204 (.605). He is Colorado's all-time leader in men's basketball coaching wins and second in win percentage. Entering his 20th overall season as a collegiate head coach, Boyle has won 58 percent of his games with a record of 368-270. Boyle owns 10 of Colorado’s 14 all-time seasons of 20-plus wins, including all six of the Buffaloes’ top single-season win totals. He has guided Colorado to 13 postseason appearances in 14 possible seasons; with no postseason in 2020 due to covid. Included in that span is a school-record seven-straight appearances from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that seven-year run, no Colorado team had participated in the postseason more than two consecutive years. Six times, Boyle has led the Buffaloes to the NCAA Tournament, and a seventh was surely in the mix had it not been for the cancelation of the 2020 postseason. Boyle’s postseason success is highlighted by a memorable run of four wins in four days to claim the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament championship. He owns more than half of Colorado’s all-time conference tournament wins, with a 23-14 mark in that span (19-11 in the Pac-12, 4-2 in the Big 12). Boyle has led the Buffaloes to three conference tournament championship games and seven semifinals. Bill Cartun is in his 16th year with the University of Colorado men’s basketball staff as the director of basketball operations. Cartun is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the basketball program, overseeing the budget, and coordinating team travel and video. He also serves as the camp director of the CU basketball summer camps, which continues to grow with record numbers each and every summer. In addition to his operation duties, Cartun is also the team’s video coordinator, supervising all aspects of the team’s film and video needs, including opponent scouting, coordinating film exchange, managing the video room and supplying the coaching staff with game film. “Bill is very dependable and continues to branch out in his roles on our staff with the operations and team travel, along with his video coordination ability,” said CU head coach Tad Boyle. “Bill’s the best video guy I have ever been around in the business; very dependable and handles a lot of details in our office. He continues to develop and grow as a coach.” Prior to coming to the Boulder campus, Cartun spent three years (2007-10) with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA as the basketball operations assistant and assistant video coordinator. Marge Marcy is in her 14th year in the University of Colorado Athletic Department and 13th as the assistant to head coach Tad Boyle. Marcy works closely with the CU coaches, assisting them with their schedules, travel and recruiting responsibilities. She coordinates administrative duties involving the basketball staff and the student-athletes. Marcy is also Co-Director for the CU Boys Basketball Camps handling administration and registration. With an experienced resume working as an executive assistant, Marcy previously worked for Intrawest (Golden), Vail Resorts, and Mobile Tool International (Westminster). Born in Chicago, Ill., Marcy graduated from Maine East High School (Park Ridge, Ill.) and attended San Jose (Calif.) Community College. She is married to Keith Marcy and the couple has two sons, Rob and Shaun, and two grandchildren. She is an avid sailor and boater, and enjoys traveling on extended sailing vacations.
