Grace Trujillo

Biography

Grace Trujillo is in her third season at The University of Tulsa as an assistant coach. Trujillo came to Tulsa after serving as the coaching intern at the US Rowing U19 Women’s High Performance and Olympic Development Program for the last year (2021-22). She helped coach 45+ athletes, while serving 14 coaches and 140+ athletes by organizing transportation, supervising athletes, and maintaining all of the equipment. Trujillo also participated in daily meetings to determine the athlete’s progress and practice plan, as well as monitored the mental and physical health of the athletes. Trujillo has also served as the head coach for the developmental squad and as an assistant coach for the boys and girls varsity teams at the Atlanta Junior Rowing Association for three years (2020-23). She oversaw daily practice plans for 100+ middle school rowers and created cross training programs to improve the athlete’s strength, mobility, flexibility and body movement. Trujillo rowed at UCF for two years (2018-20) and then concluded her collegiate career at Washington State (2020-23). As a sophomore at WSU, Trujillo helped the Varsity 4+ boat finish second in the petite final and eighth overall at the 2021 NCAA Rowing Championships. She was a member of the Varsity 4+ and Varsity 8+ crews as a senior and the 2nd Varsity 8+ as a junior. Trujillo earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in May 2023 from Washington State. She holds a US Rowing Level I certificate.
