Dominique Franks

Biography

Dominique Franks enters his third season on the Tulsa coaching staff. He was elevated to Pass Game Coordinator and Nickels Coach in January 2026. He served as the cornerbacks coach during the 2025 season. During the 2024 season, Franks was promoted to serve as the cornerbacks coach. Under his guidance, Franks coached Elijah Green, who was named as a semifinalist for the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award, for the top defensive back in college football. Green led the American Conference in interceptions with five interceptions the seventh most in the nation during the 2025 season. Green was also named as a First Team All-Conference selection by the American Conference football coaches. Tulsa’s defense improved the passing yards allowed per game by 101.7 yards per game, the second-best pass defensive improvement from 2024 to 2025 in the FBS. He was elevated to Pass Game Coordinator and Nickels Coach in January 2026. He will serve as the cornerbacks coach during the 2025 season. During the 2024 season, Franks was promoted to serve as the cornerbacks coach. As a defensive quality control analyst, he joined the Golden Hurricane in February 2023. Following his playing career, Franks coached for two years at nearby Owasso (Okla.) High School. In March 2022, he was hired as the defensive backs coach of the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL).
