Biography

Leo Neugebauer joins the coaching staff as a volunteer coach after a historic collegiate season with Texas. Neugebauer is an Olympic silver medalist in the decathlon, a three-time NCAA Champion and the first male to ever win the Bowerman Award at the University of Texas. He scored 8,748 points in his first-ever appearance at the Olympics, broke the NCAA decathlon record with 8,961 points and broke the NCAA record in the discus for a decathlete with a throw of 58.46m. He won back-to-back NCAA decathlete titles, while adding his first in the heptathlon to conclude his collegiate career and left UT with both program records.
