Outdoor 2022 Mountain Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year 2 NCAA National Champions Keith Herston is entering his 5th season with Texas Tech in 2025-26. Herston's jumps squad took a huge leap forward during the 2025 season. Beginning with the Big 12 Indoor meet, Temitope Adeshina (high jump) and Tamiah Washington (triple jump) walked away with Big 12 titles. Adeshina then claimed the NCAA Indoor title, while Washington went on to place 2nd on her final jump. The Big 12 Outdoor meet saw three more champions come his way. BJ Jennings and Adeshina took home the high jump titles as Victoria Gorlova claimed the triple jump crown. At the NCAA Outdoor meet, the women scored 8 of Tech's 22 points. Adeshina placed 5th in the high jump as Gorlova finished 5th in the triple jump. When it comes to the 2024 season, Ruta Lasmane captured her first NCAA title, winning the indoor meet, in the process giving coach Herston his first NCAA champion. Meanwhile, freshman high jumper Temitope Adeshina garnered national and global attention. She capped off her first season as a Red Raider owning both the indoor and outdoor high jump school records, becoming a 1st Team All-American in both seasons. At the NCAA indoor meet she placed fourth, while finishing third at the outdoor meet. The 2023 season culminated in three Big 12 champions in the triple jump along with five All-Americans, with three being on the 1st Team.
