Biography

Jackson Kimble enters his second season as an offensive graduate assistant on the Texas Tech coaching staff where he assists with the offensive line. The Red Raiders boasted one of the nation’s top offenses during Kimble’s first season on staff as Texas Tech ranked in the top 10 in the FBS for passing offense, total offense and scoring. The Red Raiders averaged 37.6 points per game – the fourth-highest clip in the country – while also averaging 452.7 total yards and 296.7 passing yards, which both finished ninth in the FBS. Texas Tech’s offense helped push the Red Raiders to an 8-5 record and an appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Caleb Rogers earned honorable mention All-Big 12 accolades after starting at both guard and tackle throughout the 2024 season. He was later selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, marking the first time a Texas Tech offensive lineman had heard his name called in the first three rounds since Le’Raven Clark did so in 2016 by the Indianapolis Colts. A former offensive lineman himself at Baylor, Kimble arrived at Texas Tech following one year in a similar capacity at Buffalo. Kimble helped mentor two All-MAC selections during his lone season as left tackle Gabe Wallace and right guard Tyler Doty were both recognized as third team selections by the conference coaches.
