Biography

Madison Treece, a member of the Texas A&M graduate Class of ’25, joined the Athletics Department in August of 2021 and currently serves as a Sports Scientist. Madison is a Certified Performance & Sport Scientist (CPSS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In her role, she serves as a sports scientist for our athletic programs, primarily assisting Texas A&M Men’s Basketball, Softball, and Track and Field / Cross-Country, and providing biomechanics expertise to our Performance and Wellness units. Prior to her current role, she was the first Texas A&M Athletics Sports Science PhD Fellow from 2021-2025. She completed her PhD in Kinesiology at Texas A&M under Dr. Jenna Yentes, generating a practitioner’s guide for evaluating an under-researched assessment – while focusing on the isometric belt squat. Prior to moving to Aggieland, Madison Treece received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 2019 and her Master of Science in Exercise Science from South Carolina in 2021. During her time at South Carolina, Madison had an active role within their athletics programs, predominantly with their indoor and beach volleyball teams. During her undergraduate studies, she assisted with strength and conditioning and then became a manager for the indoor volleyball team. During her graduate studies, Madison served as a graduate assistant for the indoor volleyball team and a head of operations for the beach volleyball team.
