Strength & Conditioning Coach
Ashley Jackson, the NSCA's 2019 College Assistant Strength Coach of the Year, joined the Strength & Conditioning staff in December 2021 as Assistant Director. She works with women’s soccer and women's tennis. Jackson spent the last decade at the University of Michigan, where she implemented strength & conditioning programs for women’s lacrosse, water wolo and track & field. During her time in Ann Arbor she was a part of five conference championship teams while working with 15 All-Americans and multiple all-conference honorees. Prior to joining the staff at Michigan, Jackson spent one year as a graduate assistant at Nova Southeastern University where she worked with the women's soccer, women's tennis, women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country and baseball teams. Before working at NSU, Jackson spent one year as a coach at XCEL Performance in Friendswood, Texas and also completed a one-year internship at the University of Houston. A native of Stephenville, Texas, Jackson was a goalkeeper on the Hardin-Simmons soccer team. She transferred to Texas A&M University, earning a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology in 2009. Jackson earned her master's degree in athletic administration from Nova Southeastern in 2012. Associate Head Coach
James Wilson is in his second season as associate head coach with Texas A&M women’s tennis as the Aggies embark on the 2025-26 campaign Texas A&M experienced great success in Wilson’s first year on staff, posting a 30-4 record and finishing as national runner-up after the Maroon & White’s second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship title match. The Aggies won their fourth consecutive SEC regular-season crown and finished runner-up at the conference tournament. Under Wilson’s tutelage, the Aggies produced two All-Americans including Mary Stoiana (No. 2) and Nicole Khirin (No. 11). Khirin, Stoiana, Mia Kupres and Lucciana Perez also landed All-SEC spots. Wilson owns 17 years of collegiate tennis experience, including a three-year playing career at Texas Tech and 14 years of coaching. He most recently served as the head coach of the Georgia State men's team. Prior to his time with the Panthers, Wilson spent three seasons at South Florida as the associate head coach of the men’s tennis team. He helped the Bulls notch back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and secure an upset win over Duke in the opening round. USF posted a 40-25 mark with Wilson on staff. Wilson has championships experience of his own, winning two-straight conference titles during his head coaching stint at Utah State, where the Aggies’ men’s team also secured NCAA Tournament berths in both seasons. Athletic Trainer
Sho Arai joined the Athletics Department in August 2021 and serves as associate athletic trainer for Aggies. He is responsible for prevention and care for injuries for both Men’s and Women’s tennis teams. He is also a sports medicine physiotherapist for United States Tennis Association (USTA) and providing medical services at professional tennis tournaments in the United States. Arai came to Aggieland after six years as an assistant athletic trainer at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. While with the Islanders, he provided comprehensive healthcare to multiple sports while serving as the sports performance coach for Islander tennis program as well. Prior to his time at TAMUCC, he earned his Master of Science degree in post-professional athletic training and gained experiences at Texas State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. He assisted the baseball and track & field programs while teaching athletic training courses for two years. He also completed his undergraduate degree in athletic training at State University of New York at Cortland. Arai is a native of Saitama, Japan. He currently resides in College Station with his wife, Jaycee, a daughter, Shion, and a dog and two cats.

Tommy Mylnikov is in his second season as assistant coach with Texas A&M women’s tennis as the Aggies embark on the 2025-26 campaign. Mylnikov began his tennis journey in Canada before moving to Florida at a young age to train at IMG Academy, where he played for 10 years. He was a top ranked junior, ranking as high as No. 4 by TennisRecruiting.net. Mylnikov played at Texas Tech for four years (2015-2019) on line one, where he led the Red Raiders to their first ever Big 12 championship. After Tech, Mylnikov went on to play professionally. His biggest victories came against Frances Tiafoe, Alexander Zverev, Borna Coric and Cam Norrie. The Manitoba, Canada native has also trained under many notable coaches throughout his career. As a junior and pro he was coached by Nick Bollettieri, Brad Gilbert, Glen Weiner, Pat Harrison and Dante Bottini and at Texas Tech he was coached by James Wilson, Brett Masi and Daniel Whitehead.
