Assistant Coach
Jack Gallucci was hired as an assistant by head coach Niki Miller in August 2024. Gallucci arrives at Columbia following a total of six seasons with the Stags, serving as a student assistant coach for four years, a volunteer assistant for the 2022 season, and then a full-time assistant in 2023. He helped organize and present group training sessions for the Stags' coaching staff to assist with the development of tactical and technical skills for the student-athletes. As a member of the staff, he helped the Stags capture the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the 2019 Northeast Conference (NEC) title as well as earn a national ranking (No. 23) during his time as a student assistant. Gallucci also serves as the club director for the Competitive Edge Field Hockey Club, a role he has held since June of 2019. Gallucci creates and implements a curriculum for youth and high school athletes which prepares the players for play at the collegiate level and beyond. He plans and implements group training sessions which develop basic and elite level skills for all ages groups. In 2025, Columbia's seven wins were the most for the program since 2021. The Lions upset No. 18 UAlbany, 3-0, in the season opener on Sep. 5. The victory was Columbia's first over a ranked opponent since 2019 and the second shutout in a road season opener in program history. Strength & Conditioning Coach
Wilfred Frederic is in his fourth year as an Assistant Director of Sport Performance in the Columbia Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. He began his current position in January 2019. Frederic arrived at Columbia after spending the previous two years (2017-19) as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant at Dartmouth College, where he implemented training programs for football, baseball, softball, women’s rugby and men’s heavyweight and lightweight rowing. He also was responsible for sports science data collection and analysis. Frederic has also worked full-year strength and conditioning internships at Temple (2015-16) and Villanova (2014-15). At Temple, he assisted with all daily strength, speed and agility training for men’s and women’s basketball. At Villanova, he assisted all components of training with football, baseball, women’s soccer and field hockey. A May 2015 graduate of Lock Haven University with a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Management with a concentration on fitness, Frederic is certified and is skilled in CSCS, Reflexive Performance Reset Level 1, CPR/AED and Catapult Sports. A collegiate boxer, Frederic was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Philadelphia, Pa.
