Head Women's Tennis Coach
Jeremy Loomis is set to begin his 23rd season as the head coach of the women's tennis program in 2025-26. As a collegiate player at the University of Maryland, Loomis played #1 singles and #1 doubles. After graduation, he competed on the professional tour where he earned a world ranking in doubles. Loomis began his coaching career in Jakarta, Indonesia where he was part of the staff that trained the Indonesian Junior National Team and several Indonesian Federation Cup and Davis Cup players. Upon returning to the United States, Loomis earned a master's degree in Exercise Science from Miami (Ohio) University and was the assistant coach for the men's tennis team that won consecutive MAC conference championships. He then took the helm at his alma mater, coaching the men's tennis team and assisting with the women's program. While attending to his coaching duties, Loomis earned an M.B.A. from R.H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Before coming to Swarthmore, Loomis spent a year in Durham, N.C., assisting the Duke University women's tennis team and helping them achieve a No. 6 national ranking.
