Springer graduated from Messiah in 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science. As an undergraduate, Springer won two MAC team titles (one in cross country and one in indoor track and field) and finished on the podium in the outdoor 10,000 in 2012.
