Lex Murphy enters her third year in the purple and white in 2025-26. Murphy brings plenty of basketball and coaching knowledge to the Ladyjack basketball program as she joins the SFA coaching staff after spending the 2020-21 season as an assistant coach at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Lex Murphy attended UTEP upon graduating from Angelo State to obtain a Master of Education degree. During her time at UTEP, Murphy served as a graduate assistant with the UTEP women’s basketball program from 2017-19. Upon earning her master’s degree, Murphy stayed on the Miners coaching staff after graduating with her Masters, and then spent two seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Miners from 2019-21. Murphy would then leave to serve as an assistant coach at Texas A&M Commerce for one season. During her time at Texas A&M Commerce, Murphy helped lead the Lions to a 27-5 season, 12-3 record in the Lone Star Conference, and an impressive 12-2 record at home, during that season the Lions advanced to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Semifinals. After one season with the Lions, Murphy would return to UTEP and served as an assistant coach for the Miners. During her time as an assistant coach at UTEP, she was a key piece in leading the Miners to a 20-12 record where they reacted the C-USA semifinals and earned a bid in the WNIT tournament. Pazanin joins the Ladyjacks after spending the past two seasons with the Sam Houston State Bearkats. He was an assistant coach that worked with post players. Pazanin worked with Deborah Ogayemi who was named All-Conference USA Second Team following the 2024-2025 season. He coordinated on-campus and off-campus recruiting operations, organized and presented scouting reports. Before Sam Houston, he worked at Eastern New Mexico for one season as an assistant coach and interim head coach. While with the Greyhounds, Pazanin assisted in managing the day-to-day operations, coordinated on and off campus recruiting efforts, and assisted in constructing and implementing the team's offensive strategy. Prior to his stint at Eastern New Mexico, Pazanin worked for one season as an operations coordinator at Loyola Marymount. He also worked for one season at Washington as a video coordinator and was a video intern at UCLA for one season. Pazanin's first college coaching job was at Culver-Stockton College where he worked as an assistant men's basketball coach. From 2012-2019, he worked as the head coach for four different girl's high schools in Illinois.

Before joining the Ladyjacks, he spent one season at California Baptist where he helped lead the Lancers to a WAC regular season title and tournament championship after they defeated the Ladyjacks in the championship game, 75-74. The Lancers made a trip to UCLA for their first round matchup in the NCAA Tournament but fell to the Bruins, 84-55. Yang is currently serving on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Board of Directors and oversees assistant coaches. He is also a WBCA Diversity & Inclusion committee member and the Vice-President of the Asian Coaches Association. Prior to his move to Riverside, Yang was Associate Head Coach at McNeese State after spending time as an Assistant Coach for the Cowgirls. Prior to McNeese, Yang spent four years at Georgetown where he served as an interim assistant coach/Director of Basketball Operations. While at Georgetown he was part of a team that ranked No. 21 in the Big East 2018 recruiting class per ASGR and Top 40 in the country. He was also part of a team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the WNIT and he coach the Big East Defensive Player of the Year, several All-Big East selections, and two All-Big East Conference Tournament performers as well as a student-athlete that was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team and NCAA Women of the Year nominee.
