Jenelle Harris

Biography

Jenelle Harris was selected in January of 2013 as the Monks' head coach after an extensive nationwide search and has continued the winning tradition established by the women's soccer program. In 11 seasons at the helm, Harris has guided the Monks to a 118-79-18 (.591) overall record with a 83-40-14 (.657) record versus conference opponents and led the Royal Blue to the program's first GNAC Championship in 2018. Following her first season (2013), Harris was selected as the GNAC Coach of the Year, becoming the first rookie head coach at Saint Joseph's to garner Coach of the Year honors since 1990. She also earned the 2016 and 2018 GNAC Coach of the Year accolades. Late in the 2021 season she surpassed former Head Coach Michael Bolanz '00 on the SJC women's soccer coaching victories list and early in the 2022 campaign she became the first skipper in team history to reach the career plateau of 100 wins. Harris, the side's assistant coach for six seasons (2007-12), helped lead the program to a 55-27-12 (.671) overall record, including a 41-13-10 (.759) mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. A four-year player at Centenary College - an NCAA DI program at the time - in Shreveport, Louisiana, she proceeded to coach at the high school level for six years and has coached premier soccer in Maine since 2007.
