AJ Stueck was named as the fifth head coach of the UNE women's soccer team in May 2023. Later that fall, the Nor'easters got off to a 4-0-3 start and achieved the program's first-ever national ranking at #24. The squad finished at 4-2-2 in league play to earn the fifth seed. In 2024, UNE went 13-6-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the conference, claiming the second seed. For his guidance, Stueck was named as the Conference of New England (CNE) Coach of the Year. He came to Biddeford following one season (2022) as assistant coach at Bates College. Prior to that, Stueck spent three years (2019-21) leading the program Eastern University to a 14-18-4 overall record. He was on the staff at Wesleyan University (Conn.) for three seasons (2016-18) while attaining a master's degree in liberal studies. Stueck was promoted from assistant coach to associate head coach during his time with the Cardinals, and the program saw a 4.5-game improvement in win-loss record. Before one season (2015) with the Yale University men's program, Stueck got his start in 2014 with both the men's and women's teams at Illinois College. The Connecticut native holds an NSCAA National Diploma and USSF D License. Stueck graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance from Providence College in 2014. He played two seasons (2012-13) for the Friars, after two seasons (2010-11) with Northeastern University.
