Kevin Dux

Biography

Kevin Dux joined the men's basketball program prior to the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach. From 2022-24, Dux was the varsity head coach at IMG Academy, one of the premier programs in the entire country. His nine graduating seniors over two years all went on to play college basketball. From 2018-22, he was as assistant coach at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Across four seasons (three of which were impacted by COVID), the Bears went 58-21 and reached the NCAA D-III tournament twice. They were still playing in the Sweet 16 when COVID canceled the spring 2020 season. Dux was part of the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year in 2020, as the Bears claimed the UAA conference championship. Under Dux's watch, eleven players were selected All-UAA, including two-time All-American Jack Nolan. Prior to his time in Missouri, Dux was the Director of Basketball Operations (two years) and an assistant coach (three years) at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. In his first season as an assistant in 2014, the Hatters went to the ASUN championship game for the first time in twenty years. Among his mentees were the school's all-time leading scorer, Divine Myles; all-time assists leader, Angel Rivera; all-time three pointers made record holder, Luke Doyle; and ASUN Freshman of the Year, and future NBA G League player, Derick Newton.
