Tom Linhart Jr. enters his seventh season in 2025-26 as the head men's and women's tennis coach. Linhart is a United States Tennis Association Elite Professional as well as a certified professional with the PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) having 17 years of teaching experience at the club and collegiate levels. He has 15 years of collegiate coaching experience at the D-II and D-III levels, helping develop five regionally ranked and two nationally ranked players. Prior to RIT, Linhart spent two seasons at Elmira College as the head men's and women's tennis coach after guiding D-II Lake Superior State University (Mich.) for six seasons from 2009-15. Linhart began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Elmira from 2006-09. Linhart played collegiately at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y. from 2002-06, accumulating 80 wins and garnering all-conference honors on five occasions, including doubles recognition three times and singles honors twice. Linhart earned his bachelor's degree in childhood and special education from St. John Fisher in 2006 and his master's degree in education from Elmira in 2009.
