Biography
Former Owls defensive lineman Izeya Floyd is in his first season as an offensive graduate assistant, working with the Owls' tight ends. Floyd made 40 career starts for the Owls from 2019-24, including 27 in a row to close out his career, and was a two-time team captain. He was named to the AAC All-Academic team and to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society. He signed with Rice out of Frisco Reedy High School, where he was an All-District 7-5A D2 selection as an offensive lineman for coach Chad Cole as the Lions captured the district title and advanced to the regional final. He also competed in powerlifting and finished third in the state as a junior and was an Academic All-State, second-team selection as a senior.
