Biography

The former Gardner-Webb and Wingate student-athlete spent the last season as a member of the Wofford coaching staff, focusing primarily on the defensive end where the Terrier program set numerous school stat records. "I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to join the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse family and be part of such a strong program," Briggs said. "I'm very grateful to head coach Jordan Christopher for this opportunity, and I look forward to working alongside the coaching staff and with these talented student-athletes as we chase a MAAC championship. Go Bobcats!" During her first season with the Terriers in 2025, the team won a school-record nine games and competed in the Big South Tournament. Wofford set new school records in points (351), goals (243), and assists (108), along with ground balls (382) and caused turnovers (205). Four Terriers received Big South postseason honors. In her four seasons at Gardner-Webb, Briggs played in 50 career games with 37 starts on defense. During her senior season in 2023, she started all 17 games and had 41 ground balls and a school-record 35 caused turnovers to earn first-team All-Big South honors. In 2022 as a junior, she started 18 of 19 games played and had 18 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. She played the 2024 season at Wingate as a graduate student, seeing action in ten games with five starts. The team was 13-5 overall and 9-1 in the SAC with an appearance in the conference tournament championship game.
