Plymouth State University Women's Track & Field

Will Tifft completed his first season as head track & field coach in 2024-25 after spending the previous eight seasons as the throws coach. Since he has been with the program, Plymouth State throwers have combined for eight Little East Conference titles and six All-New England honors, while Jacob Rigoli '23 appeared at three NCAA Division III National Championships becoming the first PSU thrower to both qualify for NCAAs and attain All-America status. Tifft also served on the Panthers' cross country coaching staff in 2022, helping the men's team to its first LEC title while being honored as Coaching Staff of the Year. A 2014 graduate of Hamilton College, Tifft was a three-year letter winner for the Continentals' indoor track & field team and competed in the hammer throw and discus during outdoor season. He claimed New York State Collegiate Track Conference Outdoor All-Conference honors as a junior and served as a captain for both indoor and outdoor seasons as a senior, also earning the team's Most Valuable Athlete and Coaches Award that year.

Alice Field was named interim head coach of the cross country and track & field programs in Dec. 2023, then promoted to head cross country coach and associate head coach of the track & field teams three months later. She first joined the staff as an assistant coach with the cross country program in 2013, and has been on the staff of the indoor and outdoor track & field programs since the 2015-16 school year when the men's program was reinstated and the women's program was started. Field was part of the LEC Coaching Staff of the Year in three straight seasons as women's cross country claimed its first conference title in 2021, followed by back-to-back league championships for the men's team in 2022 and 2023. In all three seasons, PSU boasted the individual race winner as Kim Bowles (2021) and Mike Olson (2022 & 2023) were named Runner of the Year. The indoor track & field teams have experienced success at the conference, regional and national levels under her leadership. On the men's side, Field has helped guide five different athletes to nine total appearances at the NCAA Division III National Championship, including seven All-America finishes. Olson became the first PSU runner to enter NCAAs as the top seed in 2023-24 (800-meters). The women's team has had its highest finishes at the New England Regional Championships in two of the last four seasons and previously claimed four straight conference titles in the 4x200-meter relay.
