Head Coach
Pepperdine alum Scott Wong was named the Waves’ head women’s volleyball coach in December of 2014, becoming the fifth head coach in the program’s history. He enters his 12th season at the helm of the Waves’ program in 2026. He now holds an impressive 201-115 (.636) winning record as head coach of the Waves after 11 full seasons. In his sixth year leading the program in the 2020 campaign, Wong had reached the 100-win milestone after #20 Pepperdine downed #21 San Diego in four sets on March 26, 2021. Wong was named the 2023 WCC Coach of the year after leading the squad to their first WCC Championship title since 2011. At Pepperdine, he has coached 31 players to West Coast Conference postseason honors, with 27 first team selections, eight second team accolades, 11 honorable mention tabs and 14 All-Freshman nods. He led five to AVCA All-Pacific South Region first team honors on seven occasions, including Becca Strehlow, Tarah Wylie, Rachel Ahrens twice, Isabel Zelaya Shannon Scully, and Grace Chillingworth. Scully also tabbed an honorable mention regional nod her premier season with the Waves. He has coached three players to AVCA All-American acclaim with Rachel Ahrens, Shannon Scully, and Grace Chillingworth garnering honorable mention nods, including back-to-back honors in 2020 and 2021 for Ahrens. He’s also led five Waves to the highest WCC postseason honors available, coaching Tarah Wylie, Meg Brown, Grace Chillingworth and Emily Hellmuth to WCC Freshman of the Year in 2015,

Assistant Director of Athletic Communications(Women's Volleyball, Baseball, Men's Tennis, Men's Golf)
Greg Bintz joined the Pepperdine University Athletics department in February 2026 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. In his role, he serves as the primary contact for Pepperdine Waves women's volleyball, men's tennis, men's golf, and baseball. Prior to joining Pepperdine, Bintz was the Graduate Assistant for Athletics Communications at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, where he served as the primary contact for women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country. Throughout his tenure, he oversaw communications and social media for multiple NCAA Tournament teams, helped promote numerous award winners and All-League honorees, and significantly increased social media engagement across multiple platforms. Before his graduate assistant role, Bintz worked as a student intern and Coordinator of Athletics Communications at UW-Green Bay. He also held previous video production positions with WFRV-TV Local 5 (CBS affiliate) in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers), and the Green Bay Glory, where he served as a sideline reporter and play-by-play personality. He was also the public address announcer for the Green Bay Ribbons baseball club for three seasons. Sports Nutritionist
Hanna Spevak joined Pepperdine Athletics in August 2025 as the department's sports nutritionist. Spevak is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who earned her master's degree in nutrition from the University of the Pacific and completed her dietetics rotations there as well. She finished her sport and performance nutrition rotation at UC Davis Athletics. Additionally, she has experience working with the USA Volleyball men's and women's national teams, offering services such as group nutrition education and individual nutrition counseling. Spevak is a former Division I athlete who played volleyball at Winthrop University. While living in South Carolina, she grew more interested in how nutrition impacts health and athletic performance. Her experience as a student-athlete motivated her to pursue a career in collegiate sports nutrition and to serve as a resource for other athletes. Outside of Pepperdine Athletics, Hanna also works in clinical settings with patients facing various health issues, including cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and gastrointestinal conditions. She has also spoken at multiple sports camps on nutrition and fueling for athletic performance. When she is not working, Hanna enjoys staying active through weight training and yoga, spending time outdoors, and cooking at home.
