Biography

Matthew Caley was named the associate head coach of ULM Soccer in 2024 and completed his fourth season with the program. He helped lead the Warhakws to a 13-3-4 overall record and went 6-0-4 in Sun Belt Conference games. ULM won the 2025 Sun Belt Regular Season Championship and coached the Sun Belt Player of the Year in Skylar Blaise. In the conference tournmanent ULM defeated sixth seeded Marshall before beating Old Dominion in the Sun Belt Conference Semifinals, 3-2. ULM fell to Texas State (1-0) in the Sun Belt Conference Championship Finals. Caley spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Warhawks as a graduate assistant before becoming assistant coach in 2023. In the previous three seasons, he has helped head coach Will Roberts lead the team to some of the best statistical seasons in program history. A Chelmsford, Essex, England native, Caley spent four seasons at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri as a defender. He concluded his playing career and switched to coaching in 2017.
