Kelly Cummings

Biography

Kelly Cummings was named the head coach at Ohio Dominican on January 29, 2016, as the third head coach in program history. He came to Ohio Dominican after serving as the defensive coordinator from 2013 to 2016, during which time the Panthers won the outright GLIAC championship in 2013 and qualified for the NCAA Playoffs for the first time in program history. Prior to Ohio Dominican, Cummings worked as the defensive ends, special teams and linebackers coach at Toledo for two years, helping the Rockets win the MAC West Division and the 2011 Military.Com Bowl. He also spent four years at Findlay, where he was named the 2009 OhioCollegeFootball.com Division II Defensive Coordinator of the Year. Cummings served as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Wittenberg for five years, helping the Tigers win three NCAC championships and make four NCAA playoff appearances. He began his collegiate coaching career at Denison from 1995-99 as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University in 1993, Cummings has built Ohio Dominican into a competitive Division II program, leading the Panthers to multiple conference championships, bowl appearances, and establishing a winning culture with 17 All-Conference honorees in 2022 alone.
