Since 1984, Mark Rosewell has led Northwest Missouri State tennis teams to 30 MIAA regular season championships (16 men, 14 women), nine MIAA Tournament championships (8 men, 1 women) and 45 NCAA tournament appearances (23 men, 22 women). With 1,267 victories at Northwest and 1,289 career victories overall (including 22 at Central Missouri), Rosewell holds the distinction of being the second MIAA coach in any sport to reach 1,000 wins. A college tennis player in his own right, he compiled Central Missouri's best career winning percentage in the 1970s and earned both his bachelor's degree in physical education and master's degree in industrial safety engineering at UCM. Rosewell served as head tennis coach for both the Mules and Jennies of Central Missouri while working on his master's degree, posting a 22-27 record in two seasons before arriving at Northwest. He is a seven-time ITA Regional Coach of the Year and has been named MIAA Coach of the Year 29 times. Rosewell has coached 136 MIAA champions and 108 first team All-MIAA performers throughout his 43 years as a collegiate head coach.
