Biography

Kim Landrus concluded her ninth season as head coach of the NC State gymnastics program in 2026, after having taken over the Wolfpack in 2017. In 2026, she guided the Wolfpack to a 17-11 season that included a 4-2 mark in ACC dual meets and a 6-1 record at home. The campaign began with the highest season-opening score in program history and concluded with the team's 35th all-time NCAA Regionals berth. During the year, the Wolfpack posted a season-best team score of 197.150 during the campaign and set a new program record on bars with a 49.500. NC State's season-best scores on vault, beam and floor also all ranked among the top five event scores in program history. In 2025, she led the team to its 34th NCAA tournament appearance. The year began with the highest season opening score in program history, a 195.825. NC State maintained its strong performance with a five week stretch of scores above 196, capped by a season best 197.025 in a win over in-state ACC rival North Carolina. Ashley Knight and Elle Hadrick earned spots on the ACC Championship Team, with Knight recognized for vault and floor and Hadrick for bars and floor. Chloe Negrete delivered a standout season, becoming the first NC State gymnast in ten years to earn regular season All-America honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association.
