During his tenure, he has been tabbed the Conference USA Coach of the Year and led the Blue Raiders to a CUSA Division title, a 2025 National Invitational Tournament appearance and the finals of the 2022 CBI. Under McDevitt’s guidance, 21 student-athletes have been named to All-CUSA teams, 15 Blue Raiders have earned CUSA Player of the Week honors and Antonio Green and Essam Mostafa have been crowned the CUSA Newcomer of the Year. Heading into his eighth season in Murfreesboro, McDevitt is third all-time in games coached at MTSU with 223. He is also fourth all-time in wins (105), home wins (68) and conference wins (68). With a strong incoming recruiting class, MTSU’s 2024-25 season got off to a strong start, with Camryn Weston and Jestin Porter being named to the Preseason All-CUSA team and a 9-4 non-conference slate. The Blue Raiders advanced to the finals of the Myrtle Beach Invitational Tournament and snagged road victories at Abilene Christian and UAB, while they closed out the non-league campaign at No. 1 Tennessee and were the first team of the season to be leading the Vols after 20 minutes of play. Adell Harris joined the Blue Raiders basketball program in July 2025 as the Assistant Coach – Director of NIL & Program Operations. In her role, Harris works closely with McDevitt and his staff to execute the program's NIL vision, design systems that maximize MTSU's resources and brand and deliver financial education to help student-athletes establish a strong economic foundation for their future. As a primary liaison for NIL matters, Harris will also support communication between the coaching staff, administration and the student-athletes – ensuring alignment around NIL strategy, player well-being and overall program vision. Additionally, she oversees all aspects of program operations and logistics. Prior to joining Middle Tennessee, Harris served as Chief of Staff for the Vanderbilt men's basketball program for five seasons. In that capacity, she became the first female Chief of Staff in men's college basketball – a trailblazing milestone that has created new pathways for women in men's collegiate sports. While at Vanderbilt, Harris partnered with head coach Jerry Stackhouse to provide strategic counsel, drive program goals and support key initiatives. Harris supported all facets of program operations, including internal and external communications, student-athlete welfare and academic success. In his third season with the Blue Raiders, the team earned two Preseason All-CUSA nods in Jestin Porter and Camryn Weston and earned its 16th 20-win season with a 22-12 record. The squad finished the season averaging 76.7 points per game, an 11-point improvement over the season prior, the largest increase in Conference USA. MTSU advanced to the CUSA semifinals stage after a strong double-overtime victory over Louisiana Tech for the second year in a row. The postseason awards season saw guards Porter and Weston named to All-CUSA teams, along with Newcomer of the Year and First Teamer Essam Mostafa and All-Freshman player Torey Alston. Thanks to a strong campaign, Middle Tennessee earned just its fifth bid to the National Invitation Tournament and hosted Chattanooga in the first round as the fourth seed. Middle Tennessee earned two Preseason All-CUSA nominees to kick off the 2023-24 season in guards Camryn Weston and Elias King and was voted to finish first in the conference preseason poll. Joshua Bone enters his first year as an Assistant Coach at Middle Tennessee in the 2025-26 season, bringing nearly a decade of coaching experience and a strong background as both a player and developer of talent. Bone spent seven seasons prior to arriving in Murfreesboro at Tennessee State, where he joined the staff in 2018 as the Video Coordinator. He was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations for three seasons (2019-22) before serving as an Assistant Coach from 2022-25. During his time at TSU, Bone led the defense, recruited nationally, developed All-Conference players and played a key role in helping the Tigers secure three consecutive winning seasons, a feat accomplished by only two other coaches in program history. In addition to his college coaching experience, Bone has coached at the high school and AAU levels. He spent two seasons on staff at Antioch High School (TN) and founded BFG Elite, a Nashville-based AAU program that developed several players who went on to compete at the collegiate level. As a player, Bone enjoyed success at every stage. At Brentwood Academy, he was a four-year varsity starter, leading the program to four consecutive state championships, the first team in Tennessee history to achieve the feat, while earning recognition as the state’s top-ranked guard.
