Tessa Roberts

Biography

Coach Tessa Roberts joins the Herd from Eastern Illinois, where she coached a pair of NCAA West Preliminary qualifiers in 2022. Roberts will coach athletes in multi’s and jumps for Marshall. She coached 37 All-Americans during her previous tenures as coach at EIU and Grand Valley State University. While at GVSU, Coach was named the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year in her career, Roberts also helped coach four NCAA Women's Team National Championships. She has coached 39 individual champions, 20 school record holders and 31 All-Academic selections. She has been part of 19 team championship staffs. She has additional coaching experience at Heidelberg University helping the program win its third OAC Championship in program history as two athletes qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Roberts is a former track athlete at Kent State where she was a member of KSU's Mid-American Conference Championship and competed at the NCAA Regionals as a member of the 4x100 relay.
