Bianca Mejia

Biography

In her second season, Mejia helped the young Lions to a 22–31 record, including a 7–8 mark in WCC play. The season featured signature wins over No. 6 Oregon and No. 75 Saint Mary's. Eight Lions earned All-WCC honors, and seven were named to All-Academic Teams. In her first season, Mejia assisted the 2024 Lions to a second-place finish in the WCC with a 9-7 conference record and an overall record of 28-25. Highlights of the season included a 4-0 victory over the #14 ranked Oregon Ducks and winning the Spring Fling Tournament in Hawaii, where four Lions were named to the All-Tournament Team. Prior to her role at LMU, Mejia served as an assistant coach at Bryant University from 2014 to 2015. During her tenure at Bryant, Mejia was crucial in steering the Bulldogs to their inaugural Northeast Conference Championship victory and securing their spot in the NCAA Tournament. Following her time at Bryant, Mejia continued her coaching journey at Dartmouth. Mejia is from Sylmar, CA and attended Long Island University, where she was Northeast Conference Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010. After college, Mejia was drafted by the National Pro Fastpitch Diamonds in 2011 and was named NPF Defensive Player of the Year during her rookie season.
